Tineco stepped in the carpet cleaner's word with the new model and the first on the market that is actually smart. As always, there are three modifications, from the basic version to the most advanced depending on what suits you better.

The Tineco CARPET ONE is the first smart carpet cleaner that adjusts water and suction power levels to how dirty the carpet is. Each modification includes a stain remover for upholstery and a cleaning solution. Thanks to a bunch of sensors, the cleaner does not leave a carpet wet and does not damage it with the heat keeping the hot air temperature at the same level all the time.
What is iLoop?
The iLoop technology lets you clean large areas without refilling the water tank as often. The iLoop sensor lets suction and water levels adapt automatically depending on how dirty the carpet is. This optimizes battery life and makes cleaning more efficient.
Heated water for better cleaning
This technology keeps the water temperature at 104° F for better cleaning performance, to tackle stains, and get the carpet fresh.
Smart PowerDry
This mode extracts water quickly blowing hot air to carpets thus protecting carpets from overheating and damage.
Humidity sensor
When turning on the Dry Mode, the CARPET ONE keeps you informed of the carpet's dryness level by using a DrynessMeter which you can see on the display.
Clean and dirty water tank
There are two water containers, one for clean and one for wasted water. The vacuum indicates when the wasted water container gets full and has to be emptied.
LCD screen
The CARPET ONE and CARPET ONE PRO are equipped with an LCD screen. The Pro version's screen is more advanced. It shows which mode is on and turns red when carpet is dirty when the CARPET ONE only turns red or blue depending on the level of cleanliness.
Additional accessories for an upholstery clean
Each cleaner includes additional accessories for cleaning other surfaces. A spot cleaner is an ideal solution when you need to get rid of a stubborn stain a on carpet or upholstery. Each vacuum contains an extra hose and a stain remover.
How the Tineco CARPET ONE works
The Tineco CARPET ONE (and other modifications) have two water containers, for clean and wasted water. To start cleaning, fill the clean water container and add a cleaning solution. Cleaning technologies help to clean efficiently, iLoop adjusts water and power levels depending on cleaning tasks making water usage more efficient. The cleaner heats water to the same level to tackle stains and get rid of dirt. When washing is completed, the PowerDry technology dries the carpet with hot air. After cleaning, empty the waste water tank and wash it to get ready for the next cleaning cycle.
Similar features
All three are built on the same platform and are similar in features except for the Spot modification
- Water tank capacity
- Wattage
- HeatedWash technology
- LED display
- PowerDry
- Cord length & weight
The differences
They differ mostly in their special feature. Again, the Spot modification is not on the list because it is a completely different model.
For example, the iCarpet does not have an LCD screen on the top at all whereas the Carpet ONE does and the Carpet ONE PRO has a much better LCD screen with quote Vivid 3D animation.
Additionally the Carpet ONE and Carpet ONE PRO have an auto suction adjustment feature.
Meaning that they sense how dirty the Carpet is and adjust the suction Power and water accordingly. Whereas the cheapest ONE the iCarpet uses a trigger to dispense water manually. Much like more traditional carpet cleaners do.
Also, the Carpet ONE and the Carpet ONE PRO have an optional mobile app and utilize voice prompts.
Tineco iCARPET
This is the cheapest and most basic model. It lacks the smart sensor iLoop which means it doesn't adjust suction and water level automatically. There is also no voice assistant but other than that, this modification has the same specifications as the other two and should not have much of a difference in cleaning performance. However, if you want some more "smartness", you should consider looking at the CARPET ONE or PRO versions.
Tineco CARPET ONE
The CARPET ONE is more advanced with the iLoop technology and access to the app. The screen turns red when the vacuum detects messes and gets blue when carpet is clean.
Tineco iCarpet vs. CARPET ONE
The iCarpet lacks some features such as iLoop and voice assistant. It does not have an app.
The CARPET ONE automatically adjusts water and suction levels to the messes and shows the result of how clean/dirty the carpet is on display. It also connects to the app where you can see how cleaning is going on.
The PRO version is the most featured, it also connects to the app and is equipped with an advanced vivid display. Its LED screen shows different cleaning modes (Auto, Dry, LED Max, and Accessory), not just turning red or blue. The iLoop ring changes from red to blue when your carpet is clean, and the drying level reaches 100% when your carpet is completely dry.
The cleaner also includes an additional cleaning solution.
Tineco CARPET ONE vs. CARPET ONE PRO
The Pro version has all the features of the standard Carpet One but comes with an advanced display and includes an additional cleaning solution.
Tineco CARPET ONE SPOT vs. CARPET ONE Spot Essentials
The two are similar, both are designed for spot cleanups, and have a display, strong suction, and iLOOP. The difference between the two is:
- CARPET ONE SPOT comes with a charging dock, the Essentials charges up directly
- Battery life. The SPOT modification lasts for up to 40 minutes, the Essentials does 10-25
- The CARPET ONE SPOT has three cleaning modes: Spot mode (for tough stains), Auto mode (adjusts suction and water levels automatically), and Suction mode (only suction, no water supplies).
The Spot modification is smaller in size and doesn't have some advanced features the others do. It is designed for area cleaning and would be ideal for cars or tough spots.
Comparing the Tineco with other carpet cleaners
Compared to one of its competitors, the Bissell 2x Revolution, there is no significant difference in terms of cleaning carpets.
The hose delivers suction numbers that are significantly above average. In the stain test, the Tineco is capable of cleaning even deeply embedded weeks-old stains. There is another option of manually scrubbing stains on stairs or upholstery.
The heated function is on in every mode. But there is also a heat-only mode where you just run it back and forth to heat the spot that you just cleaned.
The noticeable difference between the two is that the Tineco leaves a cleaner area much drier compared to the Bissell.
This drying system is the real value proposition of the Tineco carpet cleaners your carpets will be drier faster even if you don't use the dry-only mode.
The Carpet ONE and Carpet ONE PRO are automatic water dispensing carpet cleaners.
Most carpet cleaners have triggers that when depressed dispense the water. But auto water dispensing units like these dispense the water for you on the forward push and use a suction only on the backward pull.
The Tineco carpet cleaners have two water dispensing modes auto and max
Where the auto mode uses much less water to cover larger areas and has faster drying times and the max mode uses a lot more water for tougher stains. It takes the guesswork out of carpet cleaning and some people love it though I personally like to have control over the water flow with a trigger as the iCarpet version has.
Moving on to the cons
1. Price. The cleaners are expensive. Even the cheapest has a higher price tag than the prosumer ones like the Bissell Big Green. On the other hand, the others do not have smart features to pay for.
2. Tank size. It is smaller than competitors' but because it uses less water than others, it does not matter that much.
3. The iLOOP sensor doesn't have that much value compared to the cordless cleaners. With a cord, you'd rather have the vacuum on max mode all the time.
To sum up
The real difference between the three is not affecting cleaning performance as the specifications are about the same for all three. Each is suitable for low and high-pile carpets and can be used on upholstery.
The cheapest with no additional features Tineco iCARPET is a great vacuum for those who don't need automation or voice assistant.
The Tineco CARPET ONE is something in between the two with iLoop and app connection for those who are looking for the best value.
If you want the best with an additional cleaning solution and the most-advanced display, consider getting the Tineco CARPET ONE PRO.
Speaking of the Spot modification that would be ideal for small areas and tough stains yet can not be used for the big cleaning area.
