Things all the Tineco cordless vacuums have in common

HEPA filtration. Tineco cleaners are safe for those who suffer from allergies or asthma. The HEPA filter does not look like a sponge that has to be washed with water and dry before using it. There is a pre-filter cleaning tool that helps clean the filter instantly using the vacuum suction power.

Detachable batteries. Almost all models' batteries are detachable except for the ONE X and some A10 series. You can replace a battery with the second one when it's out of charge to extend cleaning time. To extend the cleaning time, you can get a third battery separately.

The "Tango" in naming means the vacuum includes an additional soft roller. The "EX" stands for a second battery in the box.

The switch lock holds the trigger in the "On" position.

The main cleaning heads have LED lights to track dirt. Some models have two cleaning heads in the box.

  1. Full-size LED Multi-tasker Power Brush for Carpet: has stiff bristles to agitate dust on carpet.
  2. Full-size LED Soft-roller Power Brush: designed to work on hard floors. It is quieter on hard flooring and picks up even large debris.

The Multi-Tasker brush does the job on both surfaces but the soft-roller is made for hard floors. It picks up just about everything on solid surfaces but does not do well on carpets.

Tineco A10 Hero vs. Tango vs. Spartan

The Tineco A10 Series has five modifications: the A10, A10 Hero, A10 Essentials, A10 Tango, and A10 Spartan. All of them have a similar accessory kit and specs. The Spartan modification is only available to buy in Walmart. It doesn't have a mini brush or soft-roller brush.

The Tineco A10 is a budget robot vacuum and the A10 Hero is the cheapest in the model line. It is lightweight and can be switched into a handheld in a simple action.

Additionally to those three, there are the Tineco A10 and A10 Essentials. Overall, there are 5 modifications but you can get only three of these on Amazon.

Tineco A10 vs. A10 Essentials vs. A10 Hero

The Tineco A10 has a built-in battery which is not convenient if you need to cover a bigger area since you can't get a second battery to switch up. Also, the tube of the A10 can be shortened in half if you need to get under some furniture or complicated areas.

The Tineco A10 Essentials lacks a pre-filter cleaning tool & extra pre-filter. The battery is built-in.

The Tineco A10 Hero has a detachable battery and an additional hair-cleaning tool so has the most value of all three.

The Tineco A10 series is not suitable for medium-pile carpets but is an ideal companion as an easy-to-go vacuum for quick cleanups.

The wall-mounted charging dock holds almost all accessories in one place.

The Tineco A10 is suitable for homes with no carpets or some thin rugs or as an additional vacuum for quick cleanups to a regular cleaner and good for average homes

The Tineco A10 Hero is good for small homes and is the cheapest.

The Tineco A10 Tango is ideal for homes with no carpets or with small thin rugs and mostly hard floors.

Tineco A10 Hero vs. PWRHERO XL: Which one to buy?

These two seem to be hard when choosing one. They have about the same price tag. So which one to buy?

With the PWRHERO XL, you get extra power, longer runtime, and a bigger dustbin however, it lacks a mini power brush.

  1. If you mostly have carpets, we would recommend getting the PWRHERO XL. The main LED head works just fine on both surfaces but it is capable of cleaning low-pile carpets.
  2. If you live in a smaller home with hard floors and some low-pile rugs or you want a cleaner for quick cleanups, go with the A10 Hero. For hard floors, get the Tango version.

Tineco A11 Series

The Tineco A11 lasts longer, has a bigger dustbin, and has more power. There are 4 modifications: Hero, Hero EX, Tango, Pet, and Pet Ex.

The Tineco A11 Hero is a standard modification with no extra soft roller or a second battery in the box.

The Tineco A11 Hero EX includes a second battery and has a standard cleaning roller. And this model might be confused with the Tineco A11 Pet EX which has the same accessory kit and specifications yet new anti-tangle technology makes a difference between the two. Its roller resists hair tangles better than the previous modifications.

The Tineco A11 Pet vs. Pet EX has the only difference, the second battery in the box. Anti-tangle technology distinguishes the Pet series from standard A11 Hero and Hero EX.

The Tineco A11 Tango is the only one in the series with a soft roller yet does not include a second battery.

If you do not need that extra battery, go with the Tineco A11 Hero. For dealing with pet or human hair, have a look at the Tineco A11 Pet.

The Tineco A11 Tango vs. PWRHERO XL

The A11 Tango is very similar to the Hero series but has a few differences. The Tango modification includes a soft roller for hard floors yet lacks an extra battery. The Tineco A11 Tango is the only one in the series that has two LED rollers. However, the extra battery or a soft roller can be bought optionally.

The Tineco PWRHERO XL, on the other hand, is the cheapest, it does not include a mini power brush nor an extra battery having the smallest accessory kit yet it has the biggest dustbin which makes the cleaner heavier.

The Tineco A11 Tango is ideal for homes with lots of hard floors.

The Tineco PWRHERO XL: the cheapest

This is the cheapest yet has the biggest dustbin which makes it perfect for everyone who has to deal with lots of debris. It has a different design yet the same power as the A11 series.

The Tineco A11 is not suitable for high-pile carpets but performs well on low and medium-pile ones.

Why buy the A11 series over the A10 series?

The Tineco A11 Series has a powerful engine and is more suitable for medium-pile carpets. Longer battery life makes it better for bigger homes and the larger dustbin is more suitable for pet owners.

While the A10 series is better for homes with bare floors mostly, the Tineco A11 is a decent cleaner that can be used as the main machine for hard flooring, and low-pile carpets.

The premium Tineco PURE ONE lineup

The PURE ONE series has some things in common such as a dust detect, an app connection, a 600 ml dustbin, wall-mounted charging dock. The PURE ONE series includes:

  • PURE ONE S11 (with modifications)
  • PURE ONE X (with modifications)
  • PURE ONE Air
  • PURE ONE S12 (with modifications)
  • PURE ONE S15 (with modifications)

What is an iLoop sensor?

With the iLoop sensor, the Tineco PURE ONE detects hidden dust and debris and automatically increases suction for the best cleaning results. All PURE ONE models are equipped with this sensor.

The Tineco PURE ONE S11 series includes two modifications: the S11 vs. S11 Tango.

Those two have the same specifications and features. Both have the same size battery and both come equipped with one in the box.

The Tineco PURE ONE S11 Tango has an additional soft roller and is more suitable for homes with hard floors mostly

The Tineco PURE ONE S11 TANGO includes a soft roller brush which makes the cleaner ideal for hard floors.

The S11 is a significant improvement over the A11 Series and is a cheaper version of the S12 models tho does not have as much power. The cleaner also does not have a second battery. It can work up to 40 minutes on one charge. The second battery can be bought optionally.

The S11 has a display that is not as advanced as the S12 Series has but is still very handy.

Tineco PURE ONE S11 vs. S12

  • The S12 has more power (130 W vs 145 W)
  • The S12 display is more advanced with a countdown timer, etc
  • The S11 lacks a manual suction control which allows setting suction depending on cleaning tasks
  • 1 vs. 2 batteries in the box. The S11 lasts 40 minutes because of not having a second battery in the package.

Tineco PURE ONE X Essentials vs. X Tango

The PURE ONE X Series includes two modifications: standard PURE ONE Essentials and X Tango.

Compared to the PURE ONE S11 series, the PURE ONE X has less power and does not have an LED display

These cleaners are the only ones in the series whose battery is not detachable. Because of all that, this one is on the cheaper side of the Tineco smart vacuum lineup. The Essentials does not include a mini power brush and has a smaller battery. It also lacks a soft roller for hard floors

The X Tango modification includes all these things, has a bigger battery, and also is compatible with the app.

This series is the best for homes with hard floors for those who want some additional features like dust detect but don't need extra power.

Tineco PURE ONE S11 Tango vs. PURE ONE X Tango

  • The PURE ONE X Tango is the only model that does not have a detachable battery
  • It also runs longer than all other models
  • The PURE ONE X Tango is not as powerful as the other smart vacuums
  • It does not have an LED display.

So the PURE ONE S11 series is a better option for low-pile carpets and hard floors. It has a display, more power, and a bigger dustbin. It has a smaller battery but compared to the PURE ONE X series, it has a swappable battery option so you can get a second one which is not available on Amazon yet but is on sale on the official Tineco webstore.

The latest PURE ONE X Air for a small home

This is the most affordable PURE ONE modification with a small battery and dust identification. Ideal for those who need a vacuum for quick cleanups with lots of power. Suitable for carpets and hard floors but as a downside has a small battery which is why the vacuum is that cheap.

Tineco PURE ONE S12

The Tineco PURE ONE S12 is a smart vacuums line. It is one of the strongest, most intelligent, and most featured cordless vacuum cleaners in the business. The cleaner has an app, intelligent dust sensor, motion camera, display, etc., depending on the model. There are 2 modifications: PURE ONE S12 and PURE ONE S12 PRO EX.

Each of the S12 series has the same suction, same size dustbin, and can be connected to the app and Alexa. This is the most powerful cleaner in the lineup.

The PURE ONE S12 series has an advanced display and also a power control so you can manually adjust suction depending on tasks.

The Tineco PURE ONE S12 and S12 PLUS come with two batteries in the box and can run up to 100 minutes in total

The PURE ONE S12 PLUS (Pro EX) has the same specifications and features as the S12, and in addition, comes with a soft roller head and a second battery.

Tineco PURE ONE S12 EX vs S12 Pro EX

The premium model with the biggest accessory kit and two cleaning heads. Both include two batteries in the box, the PRO EX tho comes with an additional soft roller.

The PURE ONE S12 version comes with one cleaning head and many other extra attachments in the box. Ideal for average homes with carpets mostly.

The Tineco PURE ONE S12 PLUS (Pro EX) comes with an additional soft roller brush which is perfect for cleaning bare floor.

Tineco Pure One S12 PLUS accessories included

Tineco PURE ONE S12 PLUS accessories included

Tineco PURE ONE S11 Tango vs. S12 Pro EX

  • Suction. The S12 Pro EX is more powerful
  • Battery life. Since the S12 series come with two batteries, they last longer
  • Advanced display. The S12 has a countdown timer and a more advanced display
  • Suction control. With the latest, you can control suction manualy depending on cleaning tasks.

To sum up

The Tineco PURE ONE S11 Tango is a great device for small and average homes with hard floors and some carpets. If you don't want to pay more for additional features of the S12 PLUS, the S11 Tango would be a great buy.

The Tineco PURE ONE S12 Pro EX is an ideal vacuum for large homes with thin or thick carpets as well as big areas of hard floor. If you want to have it all, go with the PURE ONE S12 PRO EX.

The Tineco PURE ONE S12 PLUS review made by Vacuum Wars

The latest Tineco PURE ONE S12 is a premium machine that has strong suction, suitable for pet hair, hard floor, and carpets, and overall is a great value. Ideal for those who want to have it all.

Tineco PURE ONE S15 series

The Tineco PURE ONE S15 series includes three modifications: S15 Pet, Pro, and Essentials.

The Pro is only available at the official Tineco store. It has about the same specifications as the Pet version yet is equipped with a vivid 3D animation LCD display.

The PURE ONE S15 is not as powerful as the S12 and has a smaller dustbin yet a 5-stage filtration makes the S15 safer for everyone. Unlike the other models, this one has a standing charging station. New zero-tangle technology deals with wrapping hair which makes the S15 suitable for pet and human hair.

Tineco PURE ONE S15 Pet vs. Essential

The two have the same battery, dustbin, LED display, power, anti-tangle roller, and 5-stage filtration.

The Essential modification has a smaller accessory kit and a different cleaning head. There is also no app integration.

The Tineco PURE ONE Pet version has a higher price tag since it includes extra accessories including a +1 pre-filter, and a direct-drive head.

None of the S15 series comes with a soft roller or an extra battery. The battery is available to buy on Amazon but a soft roller is not on sale for now.

Tineco PURE ONE S12 vs. S15

  • Suction. The Pure One S12 has more power
  • The latest model has a smaller dustbin and lasts not as long
  • A different charging station. The S12 comes with a wall-hanging design while the S15 has a standing base
  • Not even one modification with a soft roller in the S15 series
  • The S15 has a better 5-stage filtration (compared to the S12)
  • It also has zero-tangle technology which resists hair wrapping better

Frequently Asked Questions

1. I live in a small apartment with one low-pile carpet and hard floors. I don't need a display. Which model shall I go for?

If you don't want to spend more on the PURE ONE series, have a look at the Tineco A10 Hero for $170 and get a soft roller separately for $79.99. It should work just fine on both your surfaces and you will not spend $350 on the Tineco A10 Master.

2. Do I have to continually press the power button to make it work?

The Tineco vacuums have a switch lock that holds the power button in the On position. You don't have to press the button as you vacuum.

3. Is the battery replaceable?

Yes, you can replace the battery when you want.

4. I live in a two-level house. One level is fully hard floors and I have high-pile carpets downstairs. Which model is the best for my scenario?

I would suggest getting the Tineco PURE ONE S12 PLUS as it has a soft roller for hard floors and is powerful enough to clean your high-pile carpets downstairs.

You still can get any other model of the PURE ONE S12 lineup but it wouldn't go with a soft roller that is ideal for hard flooring.

5. Can I use it on a wet floor?

The wet spills might cause motor damage so we do not recommend using the Tineco on a wet floor.

6. I only have carpets and one shaggy in my bedroom but I don't want to pay $700 for a vacuum. Which one can I buy?

You can get a PURE ONE S11. Those have one battery in the box so if your place is big you can get a second battery.

7. Does a vacuum stand on its own?

No, it does not. You can hang on a wall tho or use a Storehouse to store the vacuum.

8. Can I use the PURE ONE series without the app?

Yes, the app only shows cleaning performance and some additional things.

9. A small apartment with low-pile carpets. My budget is no more than $300. Which one can I get?

Have a look at the Tineco A11 Hero. It does the job on low-pile carpets and would not break your budget.

If you don't want to spend your time cleaning your home, consider buying a robot vacuum cleaner. A Roomba helps to keep your floors longer with almost no effort from your side. I would recommend checking out this Roomba comparison to find out which robot vacuum cleaner will suit your needs.
