Cleaning mechanics
The powered lift-away function cleans above the floors without tiring your hands. Most of the weight is located on the bottom, so even if the PowerDetect is heavier, you won't notice it.
The Shark's famous Duo roller system makes vacuuming much more efficient since one roller is made for picking up things (even large debris), and the second one is designed for deep carpet cleaning.
Smart features
The Stratos doesn't sense floor type or dusty areas. You have to switch between modes. The Detect Pro, however, has:

The AZ3002 Stratos Upright lacks smart suction adjustment, yet has more power and a large dust cup, which makes it ideal for homes with high-pile carpets and pets. Better for deep carpet cleaning, allows using motorised tools in the Powered Lift-Away mode, and holds more debris.
However, the Shark Detect Pro LA802 combines the smart features of the premium POWERDETECT with enough power to clean carpets effectively. With smart features, it adjusts suction on its own and has the latest brushroll system, which is tangle-free and suitable for homes with pets.
