The Differences between Dyson V11 vs. Tineco Pure One S12
The Dyson V11 has a stronger motor; however, 150 W is enough to provide deep cleaning even on high-pile carpets.
The Dyson V11 gives you up to 70 minutes of battery life depending on a cleaning tool you use. In max mode, you'll get 8-14 minutes. The Tineco works for about 100 minutes, in max mode, it cleans up to 20 minutes.
Also, the Tineco needs less time to recharge.
The Tineco has a 600 ml dustbin; the Dyson has a 760 ml container.
Dust Sensing vs. Carpet Sensing
Both models have a smart sensing system. The Dyson recognizes carpet flooring and boosts suction power when the Tineco recognizes a big amount of dust.

The Dyson's battery is built-in and would be harder to change it. The Tineco has two detachable batteries, in case you need to switch them you could do it in no time.
Depending on a model option, the Tineco has one or two main cleaning heads with LED lights. The lights are useful when you need to track dirt in dark places. The Dyson lacks thereof.
Both cleaners use HEPA filtration. The Dyson's filter can be washed with water, but you have to wait until it gets dry. The Tineco's filter does not need water, it takes a few seconds to get it clean.

The Dyson has three cleaning modes: eco, auto, boost. The Tineco has Manual and Auto modes, but thanks to the capacitive touch bar, you can adjust power as you want.
Let's talk about the Dyson V11. It comes in three options: Animal, Torgue Drive, and Absolute. So far, the Absolute is not available to buy in the US; however, it is on sale in the UK.
The Absolute has the same accessory kit that the Torque Drive with no soft-roller brush in the box.
The Dyson is equipped with a LED and LCD screen depending on a model. The LED display is basic, it shows battery level, and you can switch between cleaning modes, the LCD screen allows doing the same only it also has a countdown timer.
The Dyson V11 is powered by the Dyson digital motor that delivers 185 W in max mode. So far, it is the most powerful cordless vacuum cleaner on the market.
With a built-in battery, you get up to 70 minutes of runtime depending on the cleaning mode and a tool you're using.
The best thing about the Dyson V11 - Dynamic Load Sensor (DLS) sensor. The cleaner recognizes carpeted surface and boosts up suction power to max level. When vacuuming a carpet, the battery drains faster, but the Dyson V11 is more efficient since the max mode is turned on only on carpet.

Tineco Pure One S12
The Pure One S12 has 3 more other options: the Tineco Pure One S12 M, Tineco Pure One S12 M Lite, and Tineco Pure One S12 Plus. The M and M Lite are almost the same cleaners, but these models are different from the Tineco Pure One S12 and Tineco Pure One S12 Plus.
In terms of cleaning performance, these vacuums are about the same. They are powered by a 150 W motor, have two detachable batteries in the box, come with many additional accessories, are equipped with a HEPA filter, and provide an up to 100 minutes long cleaning.
However, the Tineco Pure One S12 and Tineco Pure One S12 Plus are a bit more advanced. The Plus version is the same S12 with a soft roller in the package. Same story as the Dyson V11 Torque Drive and Absolute.
The Tineco has a LED display, it shows battery level, estimated cleaning time, how much the brush roller is tangled, suction power, malfunction, etc.

Two detachable batteries work up to 50 minutes each, when using one, the other one can be charging. In Max mode, the Tineco gives you the whole 20 minutes of cleaning (10 minutes each battery).

The HEPA filtration of the Tineco is fantastic. With other filters, you have to wash it with water and let it dry. The Tineco's filter does not need water to get clean, wipe it out, and it's ready to go.
So if the Dyson V11 detects carpets, the Tineco has the iLoop Dust Sensor. It recognizes big messes and boosts suction power to provide deeper cleaning. It is more efficient, the battery lasts longer since you don't have to set max power settings. If your hard floors are dirty, the Tineco will boost suction, and if your carpet is not that dirty, the Tineco will save battery energy by not giving extra power when it's not needed.

Tineco or Dyson?
The Tineco Pure One S12 M Lite costs ~$450, the most-featured Tineco Pure One S12 Plus will cost you ~$700.
The Dyson V11 Animal has a $600 price tag, the Absolute version is on sale for about $800.
When the price if about the same, we have to look deeper at the advantages of each.
The Tineco has detachable batteries, longer runtime, dust detect which is, in our opinion, is more efficient than carpet recognition, power control, easy-to-clean HEPA filter, LED lights heads, and the app.
On the other hand, the Dyson V11 has a stronger motor and would be more suitable for homes with thick carpets. Also, the dustbin is bigger.
Both are great at picking up pet hair, handling ultra fine debris even on high-pile carpets and perform well on bare flooring.
If you are looking for a decent cordless vacuum to clean carpets - any of those two would be ideal to get.
