Roborock H7 Fast-Charging Lightweight Cordless Vacuum Under $500

Updated: Apr 30, 2024

Roborock has been on a robot vacuum market for quite some time and probably most of us have heard about this company.

Last year the company released its first cordless vacuum, the Roborock H6. It was the most lightweight cordless vacuum with the longest working time per battery and it has a reasonable price tag. Based on the H6, the company developed a new device, the Roborock H7 which is charging faster, is more powerful yet provides the same crazy 90 minutes of runtime, and comes with a magnetic charging dock.

Let's talk about what Roborock brings to the table.

Roborock H7 the lightweight yet powerful vacuum cleaner

Appearance & Features

  • Lightweight
  • Long working time
  • Fast charging
  • Converts into a mop
  • Has an OLED screen
  • Magnetic store system

The Roborock H7 is equipped with a LiPo battery that does not lose power with time even after many recharges. It looks like its predecessor with an OLED display that shows the remaining battery level. I am a big fan of this feature as it shows when the battery is out of charge and how much time is left for cleaning.

Compared to the Roborock H6, the H7 has stronger suction providing 160AW of power (150 AW in the H6).

Another significant improvement is charging time reduction. The battery can be fully charged in 2.5 hours which is 37% faster than its predecessor. With that having in mind, the H7 has stronger suction, recharges faster yet works for the same 90 minutes which are crazy numbers.

Lightweight, powerful yet long-lasting

By weighing only 3.2 lbs, the Roborock H7 can be carried even by kids. In tandem with lightweight, the cleaner comes with a magnetic easy storage system that saves you some space by storing accessories at one place so you always know where to find them.

The H7 has a HEPA filter and a 500 ml dustbin. As an option, there are disposable bags for users that suffer from allergies or are sensitive to dust. The bags are included in the box.

A few words about my experience with the Roborock H6

I have been using the Roborock H6 for over a year by now and must say I am a huge fan. There is nothing the H6 wouldn't handle. My only complaint is a bit loud cleaning head which was actually built for carpets mostly when my surface is laminate and tile. There is a soft roller that is sold separately and specifically made for hard floors. I believe it should be quieter. Don't get me wrong, it is not distractive at all, you just hear it when cleaning.

As to cleaning, firstly I love the screen. I can see the remaining battery life which is life-changing. I normally run it on medium settings and it is enough for my hard floors. It handles lots of kitty litter my cat scatter around the floor; it does not have issues with the soil I tend to scatter around when working with my plants, and the overall experience is very nice. I love to grab it and clean dirty spots, it takes a few seconds, and compared to my previous experience with heavy corded vacuums, a cordless device is a game-changer.

I tested on low and medium-pile carpets with sand and debris and my H6 never failed. I didn't test the H7 and as it's not out yet have nothing to say of its cleaning performance but based on what I experience with the H6, I would highly recommend this model for anyone who needs to deal with hair, kitty litter, or simply vacuum carpets without stressing out too much with the cords and heavy devices.
