Design & Filtration

The Dyson TP04 is tall and bladeless.

Each of Dyson's purifiers has a display and sensor suite. If you want to control any of these, you can use a single button on top, use the remote control, or you can also use the app. The display gives you real-time reports of the air quality, so you are always aware of it. The app also shows information about the smallest particles PM2.5 and PM 10 and some other small things that might be in the air. You can also monitor the temperature inside and current humidity.

The TP04 has 2 HEPA filters and 2 high-quality carbon fiber filters. The carbon filter captures gases such as formaldehyde, benzene, and nitrogen dioxide. The HEPA filters catch up to 99.99% of allergens and pollens in the air.

The Honeywell also has two HEPA filters and one carbon filter. The carbon filter, however, does seem to be a bit lower quality than those that are inside the Dyson.

Features

The Dyson allows setting the purifier to work on specific days and at a specific time. Another feature - 10 power settings which you can switch to the one you need at the moment. There is a range of giving airflow options and sound levels.

The Honeywell has with three power settings: low, medium, and high power. Also, it includes Turbo setting that boosts suction power to provide better performance. There are three timer buttons and two lights that inform when you have to check the filters. Pretty much a basic air purifier for small and bigger homes.

The Dyson air purifiers are also fans if you need that option. Switch the button on the Dyson to shut off the fan. Tho the air purifying will be working as normal. The Honeywell does not have a fan.

You can choose the way Dyson fan will be moving. It can turn around up to 350 degrees or stay still in one direction.

Fan strength & Airflow & Noise level

Airflow and noise levels are a bit about the same. The Dyson has more options for quieter operation when the Honeywell only has three, but on Turbo mode it has 68 cfm while both Dyson devices have 63 cfm. The Dyson purifiers make about 62 dB of noise which is about the same as the Honeywell made, but on Turbo mode the latest one makes about 68 dB of noise.

Turbo mode Airflow Noise level
Dyson TP04 63 CFM 62 dB
Dyson DP04 63 CFM 62 dB
Honeywell HPA200 68 CFM 68 dB

Conclusion

The Honeywell HPA200 is a great air purifier that does its job well cleaning the air in your house even though it does not have extra features that Dyson does.

The Dyson TP04 purifier has a high-quality filtration system that includes four filters for better performance. The features provide great value, the monitoring system is definitely worth the money so you can keep tracking the quality of the air, humidity, temperature, etc. when the Dyson is working. Do not forget that the Dyson is also a fan which makes it even better, you don't have to buy a fan separately, and if you don't need this option, it can be easily turned off by one simple action.
