Cleaning Performance

Both models vacuum loose debris and wash sealed hard flooring in one pass. The Tineco has the higher stated suction figure at 20,000 Pa, while Dreame lists 18,000 Pa. That does not automatically make Tineco the better cleaner because wet-dry performance also depends on brush contact, water control, debris separation, scraper design, and how intelligently the machine reacts to changing messes.

The Dreame’s stronger practical advantage is Smart mode. It detects floor conditions and adjusts suction and water output automatically, reducing the need to switch modes manually. The Tineco uses a simpler ECO/Max approach, which is easier to understand but less adaptive.

Runtime and Large-Home Cleaning

The Tineco runs for up to 40 minutes, while the Dreame can reach up to 50 minutes in Quiet mode. Both use six-cell 4,000mAh battery packs, but Dreame offers more flexibility in how that power is used.

The extra runtime is most valuable in homes with extensive hard flooring. The Tineco is still sufficient for apartments, kitchens, and moderate cleaning sessions, especially because its slightly larger tanks may reduce interruptions.

Handling and Lay-Flat Reach

Tineco’s clearest advantage is handling. It is lighter and has a listed lay-flat body height of roughly 13 cm, making it easier to carry between floors and slide under furniture.

Dreame is heavier, but its rear omni wheel helps the body swivel while fully reclined. It reaches under beds and sofas well, although the used-water capacity drops while the machine is flat.

Pet Hair and Long Hair

Both models include anti-tangle features, but Dreame’s TangleCut system is more explicit. Its comb-tooth scraper uses cutting edges to sever hair before it wraps around the roller.

Tineco’s anti-tangle design is still useful for routine hair pickup, but homes with long-haired people or shedding pets are more likely to benefit from Dreame’s dedicated cutting system.

Self-Cleaning and Drying

The Tineco includes full-path self-cleaning designed to wash the internal cleaning route after use. Dreame goes further with a 90°C hot-wash cycle followed by either a five-minute fast dry or a quieter 30-minute drying program.

Neither machine is maintenance-free. You still need to empty and rinse the dirty-water tank, remove trapped debris, inspect the filter, and periodically clean removable parts.
