Alen BreatheSmart Classic: Is It That Good?

Updated: Nov 20, 2024

video made by Dave Flowers

We are going to talk about the Alen BreatheSmart Classic, one of the best air purifiers on the market. The first thing we want to mention is the true HEPA filter.

It is the most powerful filter ever existed and works extremely well for consumer use. It filters the smallest particles down to 0.3 microns including all sorts of dust, germs, mold, pollens.

Ionizer

The purifier has an ionizer and it is ozone-free. And that`s important. Because it pretty much found out over the last 5 or 10 years that ozone it is not something human brings should be breathing this has an ionizer built-in. But it does not create ozone which is good. So you`re not getting any of that harmful ozone that you were really putting into your house basically.

The extremely quiet

The machine is quiet, you can't hear it run unless you are two feet away from it. A built-in sensor detects the air quality and automatically adjusts the fan speed when needed (on Auto mode).

After clearing the indoor air, the machine turns itself back down once it's finished.

How much it covers

It is rated to cover a 1,100 sqft once every 20 minutes. It can really cover a whole house with no problem in a short period of time.

Advantages

  • The purifier is very energy-efficient.
  • This thing costs maybe about 15 dollars a year to run (meaning the filters).
  • It has an amazing look.
  • Comes in a lot of different colors to choose the one that will fit your decor the best.

Conclusion

The nice design makes it more attractive when you see it in the middle of your room. The build quality is good, doesn't feel cheap.

The Alen kind of reminds of a Dyson in terms of quality. Everything is controllable.

The machine also has a filter reminder that informs you when the filters need to be replaced and the filters are actually not that expensive compared to some of the other units.

Pretty much just turn the unit, leave it on automatic mode and enjoy allergy-free air in your home which is unbelievably awesome.
