The Dyson V11 Absolute is not available to buy in the US so far, and we don't know if Dyson is going to sell the Absolute anytime soon. You can buy it on amazon.co.uk for £590.
The Dyson V11 Absolute and Dyson V11 Torque Head have one difference:
- Dyson V11 Torque Drive has a Torque Head to use on carpets but it also does the job on hard floors.
- Dyson V11 Absolute has a Torque Head and a Soft Roller Head which is ideal for hard floors.
The Dyson V11 Absolute and V11 Torque Drive have the same accessory kit except for the Absolute version having an additional soft roller for hard flooring clean.
The Torque Head does a great job on carpets as well as on hard floors but it does struggle with bigger particles on bare flooring. If you keep the brushroll gates open, it will be able to pick up even the largest particles on hard floor. The soft roller also works quieter on hard flooring.
Keep in mind, if you have a mixed surface, likely you will not replace the torque drive head with the soft roller head. It is suitable for both surfaces: carpet and bare flooring. But if you mostly have hard floors, we would recommend buying a soft roller.
The Dyson V11 Absolute is not going to be selling on the US market anytime soon (confirmed by the manufacturer). For those who want to have it all, you can get the Dyson V11 Torque Head and buy the Soft Roller Head separately on Amazon for around $115.98.
When to buy the Absolute modification over the Torque Drive?
If you have mostly hard floors, the Absolute version would be better as the soft roller is the best for hard floors. If you live in the US, you can get the roller separately for the Torque Drive.
